Amanda Iwuogo

Amanda Iwuogo is the Founder, Steward, and Visionary Leader of Graceful Lighthouse Sisterhood (GLS). She credits God as the true creator of this sisterhood and carries the responsibility of stewarding His vision—building a Christ-centered community where women grow spiritually, emotionally, and professionally. Amanda is the author of The Truth Behind Smiles, which she published at just 11 years old to inspire young readers to believe in their own potential to create change and pursue their goals with confidence. Building on that early passion for empowerment, she now channels her dedication into mentorship, outreach, and programs that nurture healing, purpose, and confidence in women. Through GLS, Amanda has witnessed women set long-term goals, return to school, and make career transitions that support both their families and their God-given calling—tangible evidence of the transformation God birthed this sisterhood to cultivate.
In 2015, Amanda received the prestigious White House Volunteer Service Award, solidifying her reputation as an award-winning community leader and advocate for community transformation. She holds a Master of Public Health (MPH), further equipping her to lead with both compassion and professional expertise. Amanda has been invited to speak at events and gatherings, sharing her personal journey, insights from her book, and guidance on personal development for young adults. As a psychological burn survivor, Amanda is a living testimony of God’s restoration. She has personally experienced His supernatural healing power, fueling her unwavering belief that no life is too broken for God to redeem.
Her journey has strengthened her compassion and deepened her commitment to creating safe spaces where women discover hope, freedom, and renewed identity in Christ.Hearing the stories and testimonies of sisters in GLS continually reminds Amanda of how beautifully God’s light shines through everyone. Their growth and breakthroughs fuel her passion to lead with faith, vision, and purpose. “I believe every woman carries a light from God. My mission is to help each sister recognize it, embrace it, and walk boldly in her purpose.”
