WHO WE ARE
Our story began with friends and faith.
Graceful Lighthouse Sisterhood (GLS) was founded in March 2022 by Amanda Iwuogo. What began as a simple weekly phone call—just a few women united by a desire for meaningful, Christ-centered sisterhood—has grown into a thriving nonprofit organization officially incorporated in 2025 and a community of more than 60 faith-filled sisters across at least five countries, including the United States, Nigeria, Sweden, Jamaica, and the United Kingdom. Members span multiple states across the U.S., from the Northwest to the East Coast and everywhere in between.
Before the passing of one of our founding members and leaders, Taniel Tenn-Hue, GLS was blessed with her leadership, passion, and heart for sisterhood. Taniel’s legacy continues to inspire every step we take and remains at the heart of our community. Since 2022, GLS has grown from a handful of women to a global sisterhood, touching the lives of many through mentorship, prayer, workshops, and outreach initiatives. Our members’ stories of transformation reflect the power of Christ-centered connection, personal growth, and intentional community.
Our Mission
GLS exists to be a lighthouse—shining with God’s grace—where women are seen, valued, and empowered, reflecting the heart of Matthew 5:16: “Let your light so shine before others, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” We build lasting, faith-based sisterhoods centered on Christ, rooted in prayer, and grounded in purpose. We intercede for one another and walk together through every season of life. What began as a call to pray for young women trusting God for their next season soon deepened into something more—a call not only to pray for the future, but to prepare for it. We help women discover their identity, embrace growth, commit to learning, and prepare for marriage and beyond. Becoming the women God has called us to be—emotionally, spiritually, and practically—was always about preparing with purpose, not just waiting.
